Revised Handicapping Rules 2014 |
Following the recent AGM, the Committee has
introduced the following handicap adjustment procedures for the coming
year.
• A reduction in handicap of three shots will be applied to
all winners of an overall prize.
• A 'bonus' shot will be awarded to non-winners of prizes in
three consecutive outings.
• The winning of a second or further overall prize will be regarded
as an “exceptional performance” which will
trigger an "Exceptional Scoring" handicap reduction of one
shot, in addition to the reduction in handicap of three shots.
• Winners of an overall prize will not be eligible for a 'bonus'
shot in that year.
• The winner of the Christmas outing will incur a handicap reduction
of three shots for the following season but will be eligible to receive
'bonus' shots.
• Winners of Class prizes will have their handicaps reduced
by one shot.
• Winners of two 'Nine-Hole' prizes, winners of two ‘2nd
in Class’ prizes, or winners of a combination of two
‘Nine-Hole’ & ‘2nd in Class’ prizes will
have their handicaps reduced by one shot.
• The handicap reduction for 'runner up' and 'third' prize winners
in major competitions will be two shots and one shot respectively.
• Any increase in a member's Club handicap will also apply to
his/her Society handicap.
Similarly, any reduction which takes a member's Club handicap below
his/her Society handicap will also apply to his/her Society handicap.
