Myles cruises to victory at Co.Meath
The Stanley Bergin Trophy was up for grabs on Monday 22nd April at Co. Meath, and was won in fine style by Myles Cronan with a jaw-dropping 42pts. On a cool overcast day in Trim, the Howth man's hot scoring proved too much for his fellow competitors, with nearest challengers Michael Farrell and Aidan Butler a distant 7 and 8 shots respectively adrift.
It is always a delight to play the rolling parkland layout that is Co. Meath, and despite all the recent bad weather, the course was quite dry and in great playing condition. The hard working greenkeepers deserve credit for this and we fully appreciate their hard work.
The PRTV Society has been sampling the hospitality of the good folks at Co. Meath for many years and we are continually grateful both for the warm welcome we receive and the tasty food
and drink to be enjoyed in the clubhouse following the golf.
Long may it continue.
