Another Lakelands Trophy for Tom

On the previous occasion when he won our Lakelands Trophy outing in 2022, Tom Fleming's winning score was 36pts, 4 clear of his nearest challenger. On Monday 3rd March, Tom once again demonstrated his love of links golf in general, and The European Club in particular, with another winning round of 36pts, but this time, 5 ahead of chasers
Jim Carraher and Pat Malone.
Although earlier in the season than heretofore, this year's outing was well attended, and attendees were rewarded with welcome sunshine and perfect golfing conditions. The golf course was, as usual, in excellent playing order, and rightly deserves its reputation as one of the best in the country. The layout certainly asks all the right questions and a look at the scores would suggest that quite a number have yet to find the answers.
The Press Radio and TV Society's association with The European Club dates back many years and we are very grateful to Pat and the Ruddy family for their hospitality and support. Many thanks also to the hard working catering staff for looking after us so well both before and after the golf.
