Greystones victory for Niall

The penultimate PRTV outing of 2026 was held at sunny Greystones on Monday 12th October, where Niall Mathews squeezed into top spot by the narrowest of margins from Declan O'Hanlon, after both had finished on 33pts, Niall winning on a Last 3 countback .
In the absence of Captain Tom Fleming, presentation duties fell to Vice Captain Jim McNelis, who thanked Greystones for having us back once more, and paid tribute to the hard working greenkeepers for the excellent condition of the golf course. There were also special words of appreciation and thanks to the catering and bar staff whose special efforts ensured we were well fed and watered following the golf.
There is no outing in November so we look forward to Royal Dublin on Monday 7th December when this year's Golfer of the Year will be crowned. Currently, Declan O'Hanlon leads Tom Fleming by just a single point, with 4 others still in contention, making for a very exciting day in prospect. Hope to see you all there.
