Back to Back wins for Suzanne at Mullingar
Monday 11th August was this year's date for the PRTV Society outing to Mullingar, and it threw up a few similarities with our 2024 visit. Firstly, the weather was just perfect and a fitting compliment to the wonderful layout that is Mullingar G.C. Secondly,and despite the unfortunate efforts of a golfing gremlin, the outing was won by Suzanne McNelis , who also was best overall last year with the same winning score of 40pts. Suzanne had 2 pts to spare over Myles Cronan on 38pts. However, the best score on the day was returned in the 'Visitors' category by Jimmy McGrill, a member of the touring Skerries crew, with an eye-watering 42pts. Well done to Jimmy.
Following a delicious meal in the Clubhouse, Captain Enda welcomed members and guests alike and thanked everyone for their contribution to another enjoyable day out.
He expressed our thanks to all at Mullingar Golf Club for their continuing hospitality, especially the bar and catering staff for looking after us so well, and looked forward to returning again next year..
The 'party' then relocated to nearby Bloomfield House Hotel for the now customary night of music, song and dance and where no doubt, joy was unconfined.
But that's another story.
