Suzanne zooms to the top at Old Conna
Following quite a few years absence, the PRTV Golf Society returned to Old Conna on Thursday 25th June for the staging of Dave Green's President's Prize outing. The weather was hot and althouh the scoring may have been a little cooler, the finish was nonetheless exciting as Suzanne McNelis took top honours with a well crafted 34pts, leaving both Conor Roche and Brian Moran to rue one or two missed putts no doubt, back on 33pts.
The golf course was presented in wonderful playing condition, testimony to the hard work of the greenkeeping staff, and our gratitude also goes to the bar and catering team for looking after us before and after the golf.
Unfortunately, President Dave was unable to be with us on the day, having picked up a bug on a family trip to Donegal, and we all wish him a full and speedy recovery as well as a belated Happy Birthday, so Captain Tom ably deputised.
It was a pleasure to be back at Old Conna to enjoy the challenging layout and panoramic views and we hope a return visit can be arranged for next season.
