Another Beech Park win for Aidan
Most PRTV members enjoy playing Beech Park, but Aidan Butler seems to enjoy it more than anyone. He triumphed here in 2014, has since become a Club member, and golfed his way to another overall win when the Society paid its annual visit on Monday 8th August. Paul McCarthy took the runner-up spot one point back.
The course was in super condition as per usual and the tricky greens ensured moderate scoring. Passing showers threatened to spoil a prefect day but thankfully they were fleeting and few in number. The day was tinged with sadness with the news of the recent passing of Tony Dooley, a former Captain of the Press Radio & TV Society, instigator of this website, a gentle man and a gentleman. We extend sympathy to Eileen and his family, may he rest in peace.
