Local boy wins Beech Park outing
It has been said that a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing, but certainly not when golfing your ball around Beech Park.
Local Club man Tom Fleming showed this to be true on Monday 13th August, shooting 37pts to win the Press Radio & TV Society outing, 4 clear of nearest challenger Dave Green, with Padraig O Ciardha and Michael Collins a further point behind.
The morning cloud cover lingered for the entire day and with very little wind, the day was just about perfect for golf, as indeed was the verdant parkland.
Beech Park has been a stop on our yearly calendar for quite a while and is one of the most enjoyable, hence the big turnout. Our thanks go to the hard working greenkeeping staff, the bar and catering staff, and of course to Brian Kelly for booking us in. Roll on 2019.
