Jim registers his overall win at Beech Park
The Press Radio and TV Society welcomed some new members this year, all of whom have hit the ground running and featuring regularly among the prizewinners. Having taken a 9's prize at each of the previous 3 outings, Jim McNelis celebrated his Independence Day on Monday 4th July at Beech Park by resistering his first overall win since joining with a splendid 37pts. He had to show all his skills to keep ahead of the chasing pack, eventually relegating Breda Murtagh and Pat O'Donovan to the minor placings by 1 and 2 pts respectively.
On an unseasonally cool morning, sweaters and the odd jacket were the order of the day, but thankfully sunshine did break through before the end and everyone got around dry.
The course is always a joy to play and this time was no exception. Rolling parkland and fast greens made for yet another very enjoyable visit to Rathcoole and we thank Brian Kelly for organising the day once more, and everyone at Beeck Park for their hospitality.
