All things come to those who wait Having had to abandon the original outing
due to heavy rain, Monday 1st Dec. proved to be an inspired replacement
date, as the early morning mists evaporated revealing the perfect
day for the golfing challenge that is The European Club. The links
was in superb condition as usual and precious stableford points were
just as difficult to come by as in previous years, with just two players,
Paddy O'Connor and Peter Rea, breaking the 30pts barrier. Paddy's
33pts was enough to secure his first win of the season, the Lakelands
Trophy and the Hamper, and although Peter had to be content with the
runner-up spot, he did have the consolation of cementing his position
at the top of the GOY table with just one
