European Club victory for Tom

Having had to forego our annual visit for the past two years, it was indeed a joy to once again walk the fairways of The European Club as the members of the Press Radio and TV Golf Society keenly played for the Lakelands Trophy on Monday 11th April.
Despite a brief thundery interlude which threatened to spoil the day, playing conditions remained pleasant, enabling Tom Fleming to plot his way to a winning 36pts, 4 ahead of new member Suzanne McNelis and 2021 Captain Anne Marie Kerney
It is always a great challenge to take on this splendid links, and with the course in excellent playing condition, a pleasurable experience irrespective of the outcome. Our sincere thanks go to Pat Ruddy for welcoming the PRTV once more, to the greenkeepers for having the links looking and playing so well, and to the hardworking caterers, Larry and special good wishes to Kateryna from Ukraine in this difficult time.
As both our Captain and Vice Captain were unavoidably absent, Anne Marie took care of formalities and made the presentations. Another great day out in Brittas Bay is now over, but already we are looking forward to next year.
