Another Super Charity Day @ Forrest Little

The PRTV annual Charity outing to Forrest Little took place on Monday 30th Sept. when 26 teams teed up in near perfect golfing conditions to raise funds for this year's recipient. All monies raised on the day are passed to the designated Charity, which as usual, will be chosen in the run-up to the AGM.
With such a large field, fairly benign weather, greens a touch on the slow side, and two of the four to count on each hole, good scoring was to be expected. However, with mature trees on the majority of holes only too willing to embrace any errant shot, and strategically placed bunkers adding to the challenge, the winning score of 95pts was surely testimony
to the skills of Des Long's team, who had 3pts to spare over the second placed team captained by Shay Smith, while last year's winner, Paddy Higgins and his buddies creditably trailed in a further point adrift. We are grateful to Forrest Little Golf Club for hosting this event again, we commend the efforts of everyone who turned out, and we thank all who organised 4-ball vouchers from their home Clubs for the prize fund.
