2016 Charity Day @ Forrest Little

If you were out and about early on Monday 26th Sept. and commited to participating in the PRTV annual Charity Day, you would have surely packed your wet weather gear.
However, having arrived at Forrest Little for your tee time, you would have been pleasantly surprised to find glorious sunshine, thus rendering the wet suits redundant for the day.
Short sleeves were the order of the day for many, as 19 teams competed for the spoils.
Pride of place this year went to Peter Rea's team of ace golfers, which included Pat Malone and Colm Magee. Their winning score of 89pts was just one point better than the teams led by John O'Sullivan and Brian Moran.
With not much run on the fairways, the course appeared to play somewhat longer than usual, perhaps accounting for the relatively modest scoring, but nevertheless, a most enjoyable day was had by everyone.
Many thanks to Forrest Little Golf Club for hosting the day once more, to the catering staff for the fine food after the golf, to all our members who organised the prizes from their Clubs, and to everyone who played and helped in no small way towards the success of the day. As is customary, the designated charity will be chosen before the AGM in February 2017, when this year's beneficiary will be revealed.
