Grange victory for Padraig
The now established annual Press Radio & TV Society outing to Grange G.C. took place on Monday 17th June in ideal golfing conditions. With the course looking immaculate and putting surfaces second to none, the scene was surely set for excellent scoring. For whatever reason however, only 2 players managed to break 30pts, as Padraig O'Ciardha's well crafted 36pts proved too good and easily secured top spot ahead of gallant chasers Enda McDermott (31pts) and John Foley (29pts).
In the absence of our Captain Eddie, it fell to Vice Captain Barney to officiate following the golf, and he paid tribute to Michael Collins for his assistance in securing the booking. Our gratitude was also expressed for the greenkeepers, and the welcoming bar and catering staff who looked after us so well following the golf. 2020 is already being pencilled in.
