Eugene
too good for the rest at Greystones
If the golfing gods of Greystones are your
friends, you know you are on a winner.
The annual visit of the PRTV Society to this great venue is usually
a signal for a nice day to play golf and so it proved on Monday 10th
October.
Eugene Murray, a member at neighbouring Delgany, secured the first
Christmas Hamper posting a good score on the day of 34pts, 2pts better
than Michael Farrell.
As usual, the greens took no prisoners with those putting positively
scoring best, and we salute the greenkeeping staff for having the
golf course in such great playing order.
Well done also to the catering staff for the tasty food following
the golf, and sincere thanks to everyone who played, thus contributing
to the overall success of the outing.
Today's prizes will be presented at the Christmas dinner following
the Royal Dublin outing on December 12th.
Having just lost the legend that is Arnold Palmer
during the Ryder Cup, sadly another golf gathering was tinged with
sadness following the recent passing of two former members of the
PRTV Society. Christy Bollard and Pat Kane were both active and popular
members for many years, are sorely missed, and we extend our sympathy
to their families.
