Early Christmas Present for Dave at Greystones Monday October 8th saw the start of The Press
Radio and TV Golf Society Christmas programme as the eagerly awaited
first Hamper outing took place at Greystones. . Although somewhat
windy, the balmy conditions made for an ideal golfing day, and when
the dust settled on the outcome, just a single point separated the
top 5 players. Dave Green just edging victory on a countback from
Des Long, when both returned a very creditable 32pts. with the trio
of Eddie Doyle, Enda McDermott and Peter Rea a further point away. Next
