PGA Tankard for Paddy
Following the refixing of the Press Radio and TV Society outing to Hermitage G.C. as a mark of respect to the late Tom McGrane, our PGA Tankard event took place on Thursday 2nd August in ideal golfing conditions. Having just recently returned from his sojourn down under, Paddy O'Connor demonstrated the benefits of his trip as he claimed his place in the Master Tankard starting lineup, finishing 2pts clear of nearest challenger John Foley, while Michael Collins took 3rd spot a further point back.
It is always a joy to play Hermitage, and despite the challenging drought of the past months, the course is eminently playable and just as tricky as always. There have been changes since our last visit, with the new view of the 10th green and river Liffey from the 9th fairway the most spectacular. A wonderful addition indeed.
Many thanks
to Hermitage for their hospitality and congratulations to their Super Seniors and Jimmy Bruen teams on their recent wins.

Preparations for our Away outing to Mullingar on Monday 10th Sept. are well advanced and full details can be found here.
