Tom McGrane Trophy for Susan
It is hard to believe that six years have elapsed since our dear friend Tom McGrane peacefully slipped away from us. To honour his memory, the PRTV Society outing to Hermitage has, for the past 5 years, become the Tom McGrane Memorial outing, providing a glittering array of worthy winners from Michael Collins (2019), Des Long (2021), Deirdre Healy (2022), to Myles Cronan (2023).
On Monday 8th July, Susan O'Donoghue added her name for 2024 as she claimed top spot with a well crafted score of 37pts, with 2022 winner Deirdre Healy a gallant runner-up on 35pts.
The golf course at Hermitage was in its usual magnificent condition, with green rolling fairways, well defined bunkering,and greens fast and true. An absolute joy to play but, as a glance thru the day's returns will show, not that easy to score on.
We are indebted to local member Pat O'Donovan for organising the day, the hardworking greenkeepers for maintaining such a high standard year after year, and of course the bar and catering staff for their dilligence before and after the golf.

Don't forget our Away outing to Mullingar on Monday 12th Aug.
