Captain Tom wins 2026 Tom McGrane Memorial
The PRTV Golf Society's annual July visit to Hermitage has, since 2019, become synonymous with the late Tom McGrane, and on Monday 27th, our Captain Tom Fleming, fresh from his victory in our previous outing at Beech Park, became the latest winner of the Tom McGrane Memorial Trophy with a splendid score of 38pts. Myles Cronan's return of 36pts would, on another day, have been sufficient to ensure victory, but not on this occasion.
The continuing dry spell, coupled with a welcome reduction in daily temperatures, made for a very pleasant golfing day on a course in immaculate condition, and a credit to the skill of the greenkeeping staff. Praise is also due to the bar and catering staff who served us with efficiency and courtesy, and we look forward to continuing our long association with Hermitage in 2027.
