Eddie passes PGA test with flying colours

Luttrellstown Castle Resort was a very busy place on Monday 22nd May. The Press Radio & Television Golf Society teed off at 12.30, hot on the heels of the Professional hopefuls in the latest round of the PGA Championships. As t
he nines had been switched since last year's visit thus presenting a more intimidating opening hole, this would be an interesting challenge.
Sunshine mixed with cloud and a swirling breeze, coupled with a course in tip top condition set up for a PGA event might prove too difficult for Society amateurs, but not in this case.
Eddie Hearns made light of his Christmas Hamper h/cap cut to shoot 36pts (level par nett) and beat Aidan Butler for the overall prize by a single point, earning a further 2 shot cut in the process. Well done to everyone who took part and a huge 'Thank you' to the good people at Luttrellstown for making our latest visit so enjoyable.
