Eddie passes PGA test with flying colours
Luttrellstown Castle Resort was a very busy place on Monday 22nd May.
The Press Radio & Television Golf Society teed off at 12.30, hot
on the heels of the Professional hopefuls in the latest round of the
PGA Championships. As the
nines had been switched since last year's visit thus presenting a
more intimidating opening hole, this
would be an interesting challenge.
Sunshine mixed with cloud and a swirling breeze, coupled with a course
in tip top condition set up for a PGA event might prove too difficult
for Society amateurs, but not in this case.
Eddie Hearns made light of his Christmas Hamper h/cap cut to shoot
36pts (level par nett) and beat Aidan Butler for the overall prize
by a single point, earning a further 2 shot cut in the process. Well
done to everyone who took part and a huge 'Thank you' to the good
people at Luttrellstown for making our latest visit so enjoyable.
