Peter Gets the Job Done at Luttrellstown
Playing well on a tough course always creates a satisfying feeling,
and returning the best score of the day makes it doubly so.
And so it was for Peter Dunne on Monday 9th August when his 35pts
was sufficient to land the overall prize at the Press Radio &
TV outing to Luttrellstown Castle. The chasing pack was led by Aidan
Butler (33pts) and John Foley (32pts), but Peter wasn't for catching
so well done to him.
The weather gods smiled on us yet again, with just a solitary shower
of heavy rain to contend with. Whilst this may have dampened the nicely
manicured fairways somewhat, it certainly didn't dampen the spirits
of the golfers, happy to be playing again at this excellent parkland
venue.
Our sincere thanks go to everyone at Luttrellstown for their hospitality,
with a special mention to Derval and the bar and catering staff for
making this year's visit so enjoyable.
