St.Margarets Outing Cancelled
Following the publication of protocols for the resumption of Golf, it should be noted that during Phase 1 of the easing of restrictions starting from Monday 15th May, golf is for members only, and the travel zone only extends for 5kms from home.
Phase 2 starting on Monday 8th June will see the travel zone extended to 20kms but golf is still confined to members and their guests.
We must wait until Phase 3 starting on Monday 29th June for visitors to be permitted, but the 20km travel zone will still be in place.
We will not see the general lifting of travel restrictions until Phase 4 which starts on Monday 20th July, meaning that the Captain's Day at Luttrellstown on Monday 27th July could signal the resumption of Society activity, provided of course that the Club is open for visitor business.
Consequently, the outing scheduled for St.Margarets on Monday 18th May
will not now take place.
Also looking highly unlikely at the moment are the outings to Grange on June 15th Woodbrook on June 29th and Hermitage on July 13th.
A further update will be published in due course
