Sun and Deirdre Shine at Mullingar
In recent years, the weather gods have not smiled on the PRTV away day outing to Mullingar. However, those damp days were but a distant memory on Tuesday 30th Aug. as warm sunshine was the order of the day.
The Healy sisters Deirdre and Elaine, fully embracing the glorious finale to our meteoroligical summer, marked their first visit to Mullingar with memorable scores of 41pts to take top honours, with the former taking 1st prize by virtue of a better inward 9. Following closely was Myles Cronan in 3rd spot with 40pts. The visitors main prize went to William Doogan who also managed 40pts.
As is now customary, many were overnighting at nearby Bloomfield House Hotel and ready to party into the small hours.
We are grateful to the good people of Mullingar G.C. for hosting us once again, with a special mention to the Bar and Catering staff who looked after us so well.
