Away Day Success for Suzanne
The Press Radio and TV Society held its Annual Away Day Outing to Mullingar on Monday 12th August and was rewarded with wonderful weather, a bumper turnout, and a very worthy winner in Suzanne McNelis.
Suzanne's super score of 40pts was just enough to relegate RTE Golf Society Captain Susan O'Donoghue to the runner-up spot on 39pts, while also securing the bragging rights in the McNelis household for another few weeks at least, as husband Jim finished 3rd with a very creditable 37pts.
Following the golf, the eagerly anticipated Clubhouse meal did not disappoint, and our thanks go to the hardworking catering staff for looking after us so well.
With the course still in excellent playing condition following last week's Scratch Cup, we compliment the greenkeepers for maintaining such high standards and we also thank the good people at Mullingar Golf Club for hosting us once again.
Many of today's combatants then adjourned to the nearby Bloomfield House Hotel for a night of revelry and I trust a good time was had by all.
