Ronan is a popular winner at Mullingar
Anyone who knows him will be aware of the affinity that Ronan Collins has had with Mullingar through his association the late great Joe Dolan, so it was fitting that he should take top spot at the latest PRTV Golf Society outing to the Mullingar Golf Club on Monday 10th August. Ronan's expertly crafted 38pts was good enough to get home ahead of challengers Angela O'Hanlon (37pts) and Susan O'Dohoghue (36pts).
The best score on the day (41pts) was returned in the Visitors category by Jimmy Chawk from Skerries so congrats to Jimmy and many thanks to all our visitors who made the trip. We hope you enjoyed the day.
The Society has been visiting Mullingar on a regular basis down through the years
and we are grateful to Captain Stephen Lyons and the good people of the Golf Club for yet another warm welcome this year. It is always a pleasure to play here and to walk in the footsteps of many of the legends of Irish golf. The course was in super condition and a credit to the greenkeeping team, and we wish Mullingar continued success with their course improvement and Juniors Developement programmes.
A special word of gratitude is due to the catering staff for the delicious meal following the golf, perfectly prepared and efficiently served.
As has been the custom for the past few years, the evening's enjoyment continued into the small hours at the nearby Bloomfield House Hotel with music and song, and we look forward to returning for more in 2027.
