Three in a row for Michael
Matt Every arrived at this year's Arnold Palmer Invitational seeking his third straight win at Bay Hill. Unfortunately, the treble eluded him. Michael Farrell came to Newlands on Monday 25th April also in search of a third consecutive win, but unlike Matt, managed to take the overall award once more with a fine score of 38pts, just 2 better than nearest challenger Paul McCarthy, with Brendan O'Farrell a further point back. Can he emulate Tiger's four in a row ? We must wait another year to find out.
The day was kind to us, with the chill in the northerly breeze being somewhat diminished by spells of bright sunshine and very little likelyhood of rain. As usual, the course was in great playing condition with 'Rules of Golf' the order of the day. Speaking of orders, the ladies of Bliss Cuisine had no problem filling our food orders as we relaxed in the comfort of the Clubhouse following the golf. Newlands is always a pleasure to play and the PRTV Society looks forward to more of the same in 2017.
