Ray to the fore at Newlands
The 2022 Society season kicked off in splendid sunshine on Monday 28th March at Newlands Golf Club, where Bray's very own Ray Maguire produced another bright display to edge Tom Fleming out of
top spot on a countback, when both had finished with 35pts. In hot pursuit was Pat Malone just 1 point adrift.
The course looked immaculate and as usual was a joy to play. The slick greens demanded the utmost respect and rewarded the positive putters, as the over cautious were left to rue missed opportunities.
In the absence of the Captain, it fell to Vice Captain Denis to attend to the post golf formalities, during which he warmly welcomed all our new members and hoped they would enjoy their experiences with the PRTV Society. He expressed the Society's gratitude to all at Newlands G.C. for their hospitality and use of their splendid facility, and looked forward to being back again in the coming years.
