Aidan begins 2019 on the Double

Encouraged by the success of last year, the Press Radio & TV Society returned to the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links on Monday 25th March for the opening of the 2019 season.
The Links was in fantastic condition on a day almost perfect for golf, and despite a hiccup with the booking which necessitated a start at the 9th tee, the majority managed to get 18 completed.
Aidan Butler, having returned from recent knee surgery, showed no ill effects as he saw off the gallant challenge of Anne Marie Kearney in the final of the 2018 Matchplay, in addition to pipping Des Long and Paddy Higgins for the overall outing prize.
