Aidan shows his class in Season Finale
Monday 13th December saw the finish of yet another enjoyable golfing year in the annals of the Press Radio and TV Society, when The Royal Dublin Golf Club played host to our final outing in a somewhat topsy-turvy season.
Big hitting Aidan Butler made the most of the benign conditions to take the spoils with a magnificent 39pts, 3 better than local man Paddy Higgins, with John Foley a further 2pts adrift. Aidan's victory was also enough for him to overhaul Tom Fleming at the summit of the GOY table, and his consistent play throughout the year sees him become Golfer of the Year for 2021.
Unfortunately, due to the continuing Covid threat, the traditional Christmas Dinner and Cabaret had to be cancelled once again, but it is our fervent hope that the virus will be defeated and we can return to normal celebration next year.
