New Clubs fire Jim to Skerries Win
Being one of the most consistent golfers in the PRTV Society usually means you are contending for honours at most of our outings. When you have recently upgraded your golf clubs to mirror your ability, it is no surprise to find yourself on top of the leader board. Such was the case on Monday 28th September at Skerries as Jim McNelis left everyone in his rear view mirror to win the overall prize with a magnificent return of 38pts, 7 clear of his nearest rivals Brian Moran and Declan O'Hanlon. The Visitors' Prize went to Paddy O'Connor with 32pts. Congratulations to all the winners.
The weather on the day was just about perfect for golf, and, in keeping with the elements, the course itself did not disappoint. However, what was somewhat disappointing was the rather low turnout and we hope to see an upturn in numbers for the Greystones fixture on Monday 12th October.
We are grateful to the good people of Skerries G.C. for their hospitality and look forward to continuing our association with this very welcoming venue next year.
