Another Stanley Bergin Trophy win for Tom
On May 8th 2018, new member Tom Fleming showed his potential by winning the Stanley Bergin Trophy at Co. Meath at his first attempt. Exactly 5 years later, he was back in the winners'enclosure to claim his second victory in this prestigious competition. With 37pts, Tom had 2 pts to spare over his nearest challenger Aidan Butler, on a day when thundery showers threatened but thankfully didn't materialise until everyone had finished.
Despite heavy overnight rain, the course was very playable and great credit is due to the greenkeepers for all their hard work. The PRTV Society association with this delightful venue stretches back many years and we are grateful to the good people of the Co. Meath Golf Club for their continued hospitality. This rolling parkland venue is always a joy to play and we look forward to returning again for many more years.
