Aidan
wins refixture at Woodbrook
Persistent heavy rain forced the cancellation
of the outing to Woodbrook on Monday 6th July but there was no danger
of a repeat on Monday 7th September as the PRTV Society enjoyed yet
another sojourn by the sea at Woodbrook Golf Club. Morning cloud cover
eventually lifted to reveal the welcome sun, prompting Aidan Butler
to demonstrate the brightness of his golf game as he set about accumulating
the winning score of 36pts playing off 8 handicap. Leading the chasing
pack were Denis Foley and Eddie Hearns, 3 points adrift, while the
rest found the greens and tiger pins just too hot to handle. The course
was in super condition as usual and the views of the landscapes and
seascapes just added to the day's enjoyment. Many thanks to Woodbrook
for facilitating us with this refixture and to the bar and catering
staff for looking after us following the golf. Roll on next July.
