Pat wins refixed Skerries Outing
(Justice being seen to be done)

The refixed outing to Skerries took place in almost ideal conditions on Monday 8th Oct. and was won by Pat Malone with a fine score of 35pts, just edging out Michael Farell and Tom McGrane. You could say that this win was well deserved, not only because Pat played super golf today, but also because he had returned the best score at the abandoned outing in June, thus living up to the Skerries motto 'In utramque fortunam partus' - 'Prepared for every fortune'. This was Pat's second overall win of the season, having also triumphed at Newlands back in April, so he knows his way aroung the golf course alright. In the absence of our esteemed Captain, it fell to Vice-Captain John O'Sullivan to officiate, and his first duty was to present himself with the Cl.3 Back 9 prize.
The trip to Skerries is always eagerly awaited, so it was indeed pleasing to be given the second opportunity to complete the fixture, and for that we are grateful to the good people at Skerries Golf Club. The PRTV Society has a long association with this Club and we look forward to a continuation of this for many years to come.
